About Our Company

At Barakah Care Compass, we believe every family deserves clarity, compassion, and confidence when making healthcare decisions.

Founded by Dr. Zamra Amjid, DHSc, MHA, LSSGBH, our practice was born from real experiences helping loved ones through hospital discharges, chronic conditions, and senior care transitions. These moments revealed a simple truth: families need a trusted partner to bridge the gap between patients, providers, and the healthcare system.

We combine doctoral-level expertise, cultural understanding, and evidence-based strategies to simplify care and protect dignity. From navigating insurance and care plans to coordinating with providers and advocating for seniors, our mission is to make healthcare easier, more equitable, and faith-sensitive for the communities we serve.

We also recognize that healthcare journeys are not only physical—but deeply emotional. While we do not provide clinical mental health treatment, we offer compassionate, informed support for individuals and families experiencing stress, burnout, caregiver fatigue, medical overwhelm, and decision fatigue. Through active listening, guidance, and health systems education grounded in doctoral training, we help individuals feel seen, supported, and empowered during some of life’s most vulnerable moments.

Rooted in the value of barakah — bringing blessings through service — we are your compass in healthcare, guiding you toward better outcomes, emotional steadiness, and peace of mind.

About the Founder

Dr. Zamra Amjid, DHSc, MHA, LSSGBH
Doctor of Health Sciences | Healthcare Advocate

What makes Dr. Amjid unique is her blend of doctoral expertise, cultural fluency, and lived family experience. Born and raised in New Jersey, she has walked the same paths as the families she now serves — navigating complex discharges, managing chronic illness, and arranging senior care with compassion and persistence.

With nearly a decade of experience across healthcare operations, patient access, and health equity, she brings a rare mix of research, advocacy, and systems-level insight to every client. Her work extends beyond logistics alone, recognizing the emotional weight that healthcare decisions place on individuals, caregivers, and families.

While not providing clinical mental health treatment, Dr. Amjid offers informed, non-clinical support grounded in health sciences — helping individuals navigate stress, burnout, caregiver fatigue, and medical overwhelm through education, structured guidance, and compassionate presence. Clients often describe feeling calmer, clearer, and more confident after working with her.

This is the Doctoral Advantage: transforming complex healthcare decisions into clear, confident steps forward — while honoring dignity, emotional well-being, cultural values, and trust.
